Kunshan Rotam Reddy Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (KRRP) is a joint venture between Rotam Group of Canada, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. of India and Kunshan Double Crane Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of China. KRRP was established in the year 2000 with a total investment corpus of 27 million USD.

KRRP is located in KETDZ, Kunshan City, which is an investor friendly special economic development zone with abundant infrastructure facilities and scientific talent. Kunshan is 40 kilometers from Shanghai, the business capital of P R China. The formulation and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing facility is GMP approved. We are continually investing in technology advancements to enhance efficiency of operations and improve quality standards.

We have an in-house research division that specializes in new product development. A team of highly qualified personnel is actively developing new products in the areas of Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Dermatology and Rheumatology . We have products at different stages of registration and will be able to offer a basket of products in focused specialty segments.

KRRP has been able to establish a strong presence in Dermatology, Gastroenterology and Endocrinology segments with its brands. KRRP has a well-established distribution network covering 18 provinces. KRRP products are available in several hospitals and drug stores throughout China.

The Rotam Group, Canada, is a rapidly developing international group headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Rotam employs over 3000 people around the world and has offices across 1 European and Asia-Pacific countries.  Rotam Group’s business encompasses crop protection, pharmaceuticals and veterinary medicine.

The group has set up manufacturing facilities for life science products in Asia. In 2001, the turnover was USD 380 million.

Utilizing strong international management and advances in life sciences, Rotam Group facilitates the rapid development of KRRP.

Dr. Reddy's  is a global, vertically integrated company with presence across the pharmaceutical value chain. The company produces and delivers innovative and high quality API s, formulations and biotechnology products that are marketed in over 100 countries across the world including USA, Europe and Russia. Dr. Reddy’s had a turnover of more than USD 450 million in 2003-04.

The conducts research in areas of cancer, diabetes, cardiovasculars, inflammation and bacterial infection. The drug discovery effort is carried out at its research facility in Atlanta, USA and in Hyderabad, India. The company has several promising New Chemical Entities (NCEs) in its pipeline.

Dr. Reddy’s experience and expertise across the pharmaceutical value chain provides a solid basis for the development of KRRP.
