On November 23, 2021, Zhang Minzhong, General Manager and 5 other main leaders of KRRP came to the First People’s Hospital of Kunshan, and had in-depth discussion and exchange about the opportunities and challenges as well as development tendency in the future of Internet healthcare with leaders of the hospital including Yin Hongqing, President, Yang Ru, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Chong, Vice President, and Chen Yafang, Director of the Department of Pharmacy.

KRRP and the First People’s Hospital reached consensus on: medical industry is a very traditional industry, in the past, the digital foundation for the industry was relatively weak, additionally, medical industry is a very special and complicated industry itself, thus, Internet healthcare was facing problems and challenges much tougher than other industry.

For hospital, President Yin Hongqing noted: informationization transformation, sharing and upgrading of the traditional medical application system are still facing with strong resistance, and problems such as data safety, principles of diagnosis and treatment need to be resolved urgently. At this point, the model of Internet healthcare is to be defined and upgraded, and the supporting policies are still need to be improved and deepened.

For pharmaceutical enterprises, Zhang Minzhong, General Manager of KRRP said: As to the transient digitalization process in recent years, the digital transformation of domestic pharmaceutical industry has been mainly conducted around reducing cost and increasing efficiency, however, in core areas such as R&D, manufacturing, product reach the penetration of digital healthcare is still in its initial stage.
